Legacies, no matter the size, are hugely valuable to the School, and we are immensely grateful to all those who have the foresight to remember us in their will. Legacies have played a pivotal role in shaping our School. They have enabled us to grow our facilities, and through endowments, we have been able to support students with life-changing bursaries.
After you have provided for your family and loved ones, by remembering Clifton High School in your will, you can both acknowledge the influences that have shaped your life, and secure the future ambitions of the School and its students for generations to come. Legacies are a highly tax efficient way of making a donation, particularly where Estate Duty is likely to be incurred.
To recognise and thank you for your generosity, all those who notify us of their intentions to leave a gift to the School, will automatically become a member of the 1877 Club. As a member of the 1877 Club you would receive a range of benefits including invites to special occasions such as an annual 1877 Club event and we will keep you updated about the impact of legacy giving at School.
We recognise that any gift is deeply personal, and that you may wish to specify how your legacy will be used. If you are considering leaving a gift in your will to the School, we would be pleased to discuss your wishes with you, regardless of whether you consider the gift to be large or small. We of course understand if you would prefer to keep your intentions private. However, it can be useful for the School to know of your plans, as this ensures that we are able to thank you personally and talk to you about the impact your gift could make.
